Mortgage Application with gambling transactions

Recently applied for a mortgage with the other half with Skipton Building Society, we both have excellent credit scores, no overdrafts, no outstanding debt etc. After bills etc have been paid we roughly have £1800 a month to play with. I currently gamble, leisurely, around £150 a month. Would this affect our application for a mortgage? Would it red flag us with Skipton? And has anyone had any problems with betting transactions with Skipton? Any replies would be great.

regular gambling is often frowned upon by lenders, some lenders don't require bank statements as an example which may help. I would suggest a broker if not already done so, otherwise Skipton may query your transactions"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

Weve had a broker from the start and I'm guessing he's had a look through my bank statements etc and never queried it so I'm guessing it should be ok? The mortgage application went in a few weeks ago, we had a valuation on the house last Thursday and got the survey booked in this Friday. Also we signed a declaration form and sent back today, so I'm guessing if we're upto this point there is no problem? I'm not sure if it's a normal thing that they value the house before underwriting. I'm a first time buyer so new to all this.0

If you did £30-40 at the weekend, that would probably look better than a fiver a day.
Skipton tend to take a common sense approach to things albeit maybe a little on the cautious side. I think you will be fine as it is not excessive (in my opinion). There will be other options if Skipton say no.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
