Hi all. My girlfriend decided to be guarantor on a amigo loan. As normal she has been left with the debt. She has told me she hasn't signed anything about being a guarantor. Is there any way out of this debt?

    Whose account was the money deposited into? When you say "didn't sign" do you mean with a pen or electronically?

    The money went to her brother. No she didn't sign any paper work or anything online

    I didn't ask who the money went to, I asked whose account was it deposited into? Amigo deposit the money into the guarantor's account and then the guarantor gives the money to the borrower.

    How did she agree to be the guarantor?

    Pretty sure that Amigo will have got her agreement/approval to being guarantor, otherwise it would be a fairly pointless process. While she might have forgotten agreeing to the terms of this loan, I suspect AMigo will still have details.

    Did it go into her brothers account via your Girlfriends account?
    If she didnt sign anything on paper or online, how have Amigo got her details?

    Its been confirmed that Amigo pay it into the guarantors account.
    I wonder if the brother put his account details claiming they were your girlfriends.

    So how did the conversation go when the brother mentioned it ?
    If she is pretty sure she didn't sign anything then she should speak to Amigo then.
