OMG This is awful

I consider myself computer literate and been involved with projects with regards to programming and developing but have never been or seen anything quite so horrific and unuser friendly.  You need to involve 'customers' from the outset, and I realise that MSE is much larger then just the competition site but crikey this is just awful!

  • You can go to the different forums you use and click ‘favourite’ and it’s saves it to the favourites area so you don’t need to bother with the long list.
  • New website is horrendous.  My inbox is overflowing and the new website looks ugly.  Some muppet had to justify their salary hence we get this shambles. If it ain't broke, don't f*** it up! We have literally gone from a Jaguar XK8 to a Lada Riva.
  • still no sign of any changes, im guessing they just going to wait till all us moaners stop posting and just leave it in the shambles it is.

There have been some small changes, just not on the competition boards. I assume they're working harder on big problems such as mobile and tablet viewing being impossible, the forum jumping and scrolling backwards etc.

ETA just spotted this post from the forum team at the end of this thread..... https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6100014/new-forum-snagging/p103

  • I've given it a few days before commenting but I actually like the new layout :)
My only gripe is not being able to skip the comps I don't want to enter quickly, but I see this is now being worked on and accept these things take time.
    Onwards and upwards peeps..Happy comping..

Have you gone into your profile and changed what notifications you get ?

@Janec888 you can always set the ones you don't want to enter by bookmarking them. Make sure you change your preferences so you don't get emails/pop-ups when someone comments or adds to them.
Speak your mind.- Nobody else will do it for you.

I’ve got to say, I HATED the change to start with but I’ve carried on and found a different way to do things and I’ve found it’s actually made things easier for me, quicker actually! Like the above poster the only thing I’d like to see is a quick way to skip.
My method is to go to the first page, I bookmark all the comps I want to enter. For the first page only I go into the ones I don’t want to enter and mark as skipped. Then work through the pages bookmarking everything I like the look of. Then because of my previous skipping, I eventually get to a page and I see lots of 0 commented comps with skipped against them then I know I’ve caught up. This only takes a couple of mins. Then I go into my bookmarked comps and start entering them, marking them as entered and un-bookmark as I go along. Honestly, it’s so quick and easy! Hope this helps someone!
  • Ian really struggling with searching for comps I put the date in for tomorrow and it’s brought up comps from 2018 and 2019 !

I've always comped by bookmarking the ones I want to do, and have been snaplinking and opening hundreds of comps, then looking at each one to either skip or bookmark. Genuinely never occurred to me to only do the skipped on the first page 😂😂 I must be a bit thick! So that's a massive help, thanks @pud1234 . As you say, you only need to work back to see a few skipped, & you know you're back to where you left off 😊
