Relocating - new mortgage and continuing current employment

Hi,
My fiancé and I are soon relocating from the outskirts of Edinburgh to Aberdeenshire (156 miles/2h 30min drive). My fiancé has been in employment up there for a number of months, working away during the week (living with his parents) and returning home at the weekend, while we have had our current property on the market. This house is now Under Offer and hence we are now thinking about the next steps including mortgage for the property we really want up there. I will be continuing my employment with my Edinburgh employer (whom I have been employed by for over a year) - working from home 3 days and in the office for 2. My parents live in Edinburgh so I’ll live with them for those 2 days.

Do you think it’s likely we’ll face any difficulties with this plan for a mortgage application? What do you think a mortgage provider may need from me/my employer as evidence? Just want to be as planned as possible where we can as this move is huge for us and I’m a bag of nerves as it is! We will be having a discussion with a broker soon. Thank you!

I’m in a similar situation and when I spoke to a broker they said it would depend on the lender, some may just want pay slips as normal, some may ask for my contract stating I work from home and others may want a letter from my employer. She told me it’s common and it wouldn't cause any issues.2
