My Pension Expert

Has anyone had any dealings with My Pension Expert site? I’m planning to retire in July and I’ve contacted them about my options for a pension and they seem really knowledgeable and helpful. Their trust pilot rating is 5 star but it would be good to hear from anyone who has used this company to sort their pension.

Although they say they are IFA's ( and may well be ) there is a big focus on using annuities for retirement income .
Annuities can certainly be the right solution for some people, but they are a lot less used than in the past due to other options being available, like drawdown.
So my concern would be that an IFA should start with an open mind with a new client, and they seem to be very focused in going down one particular route.

I know nothing about them and cannot comment. However, trustpiliot ratings are so unreliable and utterly pointless across many professions and financial services is no different.
Any reason you are not considering a local IFA to you?2 -
Thank you both for your comments - much appreciated. The information they gave to me wasn't just about annuities, it included Flexi-Access Drawdown too but I haven't read any bad reports about this company anywhere and just wondered if anyone had any dealings with them. I'll keep looking before I make any decisions.

I have, I am using them just now, have had a telephone discussion with them and another in two weeks time. I was very annoyed that during the first discussion the yearly fees of 1.2% was mentioned but it was their letter sent to me that detailed the initial fee of 4.75%. I asked about it during second call and it was reduced to 2.75% but the omission has lost any trust I had in them. What else could be hiding in small print I did not read.0
