Son keeps getting debt letters from lowell

Hi our son keeps getting debt letters from Lowell finance Its for a company JD William's for ladies clothing he has Nevet opened any accounts with them it's over 4 years ago at a previous address What do we do they've now sent a letter saying g they will collect goods

    First step is the "proveit" letter I think - you'll find the link in the sticky post at the top of the board. 

    I'd suggest your son also checks his credit files to see what shows on there, if he's not already done so.

    I wonder what the Lowell boys an girls will do with your sons second hand boxer shorts, maybe dress up as chickens and have a laugh down the office party perhaps !!
    Lowell are a debt purchasing company, they do not collect goods, as they are not certified bailiffs, either your reading the letter wrongly, or whoever wrote it was suffering from a particularly bad hangover that morning.
    Send the "provit" letter, see what evidence the bright sparks at Leeds central can conjurer up.
    Once we know what we are dealing with, we can move it forward.
