Santander Timeline - my experience

Just thought I would give my recent experience of applying for a mortgage with Santander.
Split mortgage in that we are porting and applying for a top up. Porting element makes up approx one third, top up two thirds. Mortgage package included a free valuation.
Via a broker:
Full application submitted Weds 29th Jan
Valuation instructed 29th Jan
Valuation booked Thurs 30th Jan
Passed to underwriting 30th Jan
Document / info requested Fri 31st Jan (broker sorted, we were not contacted)
Passed to underwriting again Mon 3rd Feb
Underwriting decision made (agreed) 3rd Feb
Valuation carried out at the property Thurs 6th Feb
Text message received 6th Feb at 7pm!
Hope this helps anyone looking at timelines just like I did!

Thanks for the info - this is very useful. May I ask what broker did you use and what documents did they ask for?

Thanks
We provided 3 months bank statements and 3 months pay slips. Santander also asked for YTD figures for one salary as it's made up of basic salary, shift allowance and bonus.
In advance of application we had provided all our information to the broker on the mortgage questionnaire. Martin has done a few mortgages / remortgages for us and always makes it a seamless process.
