This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or SLOW internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Well this is all very fancy schmancy, not sure if I like it but I will get used to it I'm sure.
I am having a very busy day so far filled with visitors so I am having a quick break before the next set arrives. Steve is cooking me some lunch and I am having a look at the new forum site.
Hope you all have a lovely day whatever you are up to, take care xx

Thanks for starting this off today Dumpling. I did try, honest, but had to post on yesterdays instead as I couldn't find out how to start a new thread. Unfortunately I'm not computer literate when things go wrong or change. Don't like the lack of smilies either, especially the party/birthday ones.Anyway I will try to get used to it but it may take me some time.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently8

Afternoon Everyone,
Just got in from work to view the New Style Forum. It will get a bit of time to get used too.
Lovely sunny weather here and so I took the opportunity to hang the washing out.
Have a lovely afternoon/Evening Everyone

Not sure I like the new look, will have to see how it pans out........changing my password was a pain, hope its done it ok.
OH was back at the dentist this afternoon, it appears he was sent the wrong plate, so he is to get a new one with the practice bearing the cost. Considering a new plate is £200+ that has to be good.

Hi all, well that was quite painless, I expected a right kerfuffle signing back on again. I preferred our old layout but hey ho what must be must be!
Enjoy the remains of the day folks xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"5 -

Afternoon all,I got back on no trouble
,it all seems a little pale but I was used to the green format lol. I've been busy all day & just having a breather before I start tea. I went off early to Bury Market on the bus after requests from the family for various things I got last week. Also got myself more wool for my loom knitting, there is a good stall there so got myself 2 balls of multi coloured .I was wearing a scarf I finished last night, needed it too, had to break the ice on the water bowl outside that Bigpooch prefers to drink from, brr.
DH has mainly been at home pricing a job up with a bit of to-ing and fro-ing, and rang to ask how long I'd be before I was home as DS1 had told him I was getting stuff for dinner (lunch if you're not Northern), luckily I was nearly home so that averted the need to go to get pasties.
Right time up - DH has put the meat pie in but need to sort out accompaniments.Take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)4 -
