Help! British Gas chasing debt ....confused!!

Hi all,
I received a letter last week from British Gas claiming I owe them for outstanding Gas usage from 2014. Here is where I am confused....
Declared bankrupt May 2014, discharged 2015.
The debt is from August 2014 to Feb 2015, however, this is for the property which was handed back to the mortgage company as it was included with my bankruptcy.
I’m confused, I moved out of the property in Feb 2014 to a rental property as the repossession was planned, the property was included in the bankruptcy in May 2014, so how can they claim I owe them money for a period of time the property was not in my possession?!?
Can anyone advise on what course of action I need to take here?
Thanks in advance.

Pass the letter onto the OR for them to deal with it. Job done.0

Do I need to contact the OR before sending it to them or just send it recorded with an explanation etc?0

This is not a job for the OR. They only deal with pre-bankruptcy debts, which this clearly is not.
I once had BG chase me for a debt where I hadn't been living in the property. I just sent them the evidence I had that not lived there at the time and that was that. I would ring them, explain you weren't resident and ask them what sort of evidence they require to be reassured that this is not your debt, and go from there.0
