P60 is not showing payments

in Cutting tax
Hello all,
During the financial year 2018-19, my employer was paying £250 per month towards the parking for myself. It was coming out of my gross pay and it was paid for 6 months.
I was going through the P-60 and realised it doesn't show the above £1500 and now my gross pay is short of £1500.
This payment was shown in my payslip but not included in P60.
Is it not meant to be there on P60?

No, not if it was non-taxable. Was it salary sacrifice?0

Yes, it was salary sacrifice0

Then it's correctly not on your P60....0

Hmm
Is there any way we could amend the P60 to show this amount and show it as part of my gross salary?0 -

It's not though. Salary sacrifice means you contractually give up the right to be paid that money.
Let me guess, you want the higher figure for a mortgage application? You should have thought of that before giving up some of your salary to save tax/NIC0 -
thanks for your input.
I didn't know it's called 'salary sacrifice' when I agreed for this.
I am still confused here. I have used the parking space and the company was paying for that on behalf of me.
Instead of coming out of my taxed money, it was coming out from my gross salary. If that's called 'salary sacrifice' and can not be included on P60, can I pay that tax now and amend the P-60?
Thanks again.0 -
No you can't go back.
If the arrangement is still in place you can change it going forward.
Is it for mortgage purposes?0 -
Not really. It's something to do with my visa application.
Not sure if you have heard of ILR and the tier 2 visa.0 -
Would a letter from your employer confirming gross salary before salary sacrifice not be enough?0
-
I think home office would be looking at the P60 instead of the letters from the employer0
