Basic pedometer watch

I’m trying to source a basic pedometer watch.
I don’t want to measure my heartbeat, be alerted to calls or texts, monitor my sleeping, be reminded that I need to get up and move about etc, etc, etc....
All I need is something I can strap to my wrist that accurately counts the steps I take.
I’ve spent a ridiculous amount of time searching online but just can’t find something that suits.
Does anyone know if what I want is available? I’d be really grateful for any help.

Hi, we move threads if we think they’ll get more help elsewhere (please read the forum rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board. If you have any questions about this policy please email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.
I’ve moved your thread from the ‘I wanna’ board to the ‘Sports and Fitness’ board, where it is better suited.

Fitbit Alta. I sourced a 2nd hand one from ebay to use as an alarm so that I stopped waking my wife up when I got up for work.
I paid £35 or you can get a new one for about £90
You need a smartphone to sync it though1 -
I got the Huawei Honor Band 5 for £30 https://www.argos.co.uk/product/1159194 really pleased with it use the pedometer, heart rate and oxygen works best with a smart phone I use a samsung. You can change the faces on phone or download them via the app to customise it takes simple messages from phone and can control some music on mobile too, good value1

I got an "unbranded" one from Amazon, about £20, similar specs to the basic fitbit alta.
Search "letsfit tracker" or "letscom fitness"on amazon.
Does everything you need.(Although I could be wrong, I often am.)1 -
I'm not sure if there really is a device which will accurately measure your steps, especially if you have it on your wrist. My one sometimes alerts me that I have reached my daily steps while I'm wiping up a plate as it tends to measure movements of the arm also.
I think there are some pretty basic pedometers which you can wear on a belt which I personally believe are more accurate as they only tend to measure movements in the legs rather than the arms. Sadly I don't think 100% accuracy is anywhere near possible in this type of device.

Here in Singapore the gov give away the AXTRO2 pro to anyone over 60 who wants one. There are many monthly challenges to take part in with monetary returns.Currently I earn about 10 quid a month from the challenges.Sometimes I see OAPs out walking with three AXTRO2s strapped to their wrists. It's your money. Except if it's the governments.0
