Gym bag stolen

Hello -
looking for advice after having had my gym bag stolen at David Lloyds ... I realise they are unlikely to be liable, but I would have thought that they'd at least help in resolving the problem as I know they do have CCTV footage of the area near where my bag was left.
Anyone ever had this problem?

The gym I use has lockers but I'm sure you could ask to speak to their security manager and explain that your bag has been stolen, and could they look at the CCTV footage to see if they could identify who took it.

Possibly, but that's not important right now.

Report it to the police who may be able to access the CCTV.

Surely be first port of call.

They are very definitely not liable, any more than if your car was robbed while it was parked on their premises.

Is there CCTV in the changing room? Seems rather invasive if there is...

Someone at our local gym had the locker broken into.

The gym cannot give you the CCTV due to data protection laws. They can however give it to the police or anyone else with lawful justification.

You shouldn't lean on somebody's decency. Use locker, it's easy. I put all my stuff in the locker even when I go to wash after training, not everyone does this, but should
The OP hasn't actually said they didn't use a locker - lockers can and do get broken in to
