What do you guys think about AXA insurance? It seems almost too good to be true at times. They cover a lot of good stuff for cheap prices. What's the difference between Homesure and Homesmart? Couldn't see many others that covered as much for a similar price other than swiftcover.com

What do you guys think of AXA? Is it decent cover? Of course it's cheap cover, but it does cover a lot of things my parents would like. How's the home emergency cover? Would getting that mean my Mother should probably get off the British Gas Homecare 400 plan and switch it for a boiler only cover?

Planning on negotiating something on Friday. Seems comparethemarket has the best prices, compared to other sites. I did check Directline and Aviva as well, but those deals were quite a bit more expensive.

After reading through some reviews about AXA, it seems the majority of the negativity stems from the car insurance. Seeing as they do not own any cars, this should be fine. Of course, there's some reviews saying they don't want to pay out, but they never give explicit details on what they are claiming for.

So unless someone knows a huge reason why my parents shouldn't go ahead and get cover with AXA? It seems like the logical step forward. If there's other suppliers around their price range you think are miles better, please let me know before Friday, as that's when they'll making a claim. And they'll be paying for it up front annually, so it costs less in the long run.

    AXA are a major insurer.

Obviously I can't comment on the level of cover you're looking to buy, and all policies have exclusions and restrictions, but there should be no need to avoid them as an insurer.

Who do YOU use for your household insurance? Why did you choose them? Why not use them...if they're good enough for you....
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)
