Thanks for posting, but Real People's comps are normally posted by jaibaby. I suspect she would have got around to this and the other issues that she hadn't got around to yet.

They posted them in the wrong place a few days ago, were told that and that the posts were not required anyway so duping their posts was deliberate.

All your posts are in the wrong place and not needed as the magazine are already covered.

A read of the comping guide may help

I saw this post and thought, wow, that's a strange competition to choose as your first post ... and then instantly thought, I bet it's an employee of the magazine and they've deliberately used 1 or a couple of wrong answers so they can weed out the forum enter'ers and block their entries!
I clearly have trust issues :)

Also, some of the answers are odd eg DIABOLICAL is usually just one word, and the phrase as given is not what you would usually say...

Rest assured I do not work for the magazine and these are my genuine suggested answers. As pointed out these comps are usually posted by jailbaby but I saw them greyed out so posted.

Thanks to midnighter for pointing this out, I'll leave it to jailbaby from now on

And thanks to mjm3346 for being so rude!

Hey Innov8, any contribution to the forum is a good thing (especially when it comes to posting comps), so regardless of anything else, thanks for posting.

Don't take anything too personally, it's just a bit of fun ... most / all of this style of magazine competition has their regular posters, who go out and buy the magazine especially to post, so we generally allow them to do that and not interfere by posting answers, since they're buying it especially and regularly.

They're quite difficult / lengthy / time consuming competitions to post since there are so many answers and formatting, so that's why it's a bit strange that a new poster would pick up the mantle on the hardest type of comp to post. Nothing personal (unless you do for the mags and are trying to trick is then It's very personal! :rotfl: #NeverAnnoyAComper )

Anyone on this forum can post a competition and members telling you otherwise or saying a certain person can only post it are wrong. Members do not run the forum or make the rules, even if they think they do. I'm very grateful for the post and very sorry for the rude arrogant answers you received which reflect very badly on the forum. Saying someone who posted a comp deliberately gave wrong answers was disgusting or complaining that someone else usually posts them so you shouldn't is ridiculous. It is first up for posting so if you want to post a competition, then post it if it hasn't already been put up.

As for Sleepy saying don't take it personally etc etc, accusing someone of deliberately misleading others and possibly putting wrong answers to make the rest of us get it wrong and then making a post laughing and playing nice doesn't make the impact of your horrible comment to a new member any less rude.

Unlike the vast majority of competitions which are posted on a "first come first serve" basis the magazines are covered by regular posters who generally arrange cover if required and this is covered in the guide that the OP was previously pointed to "A read of the comping guide may help"

Also, the magazine comps that have their own threads have lists of people who buy the magazines, answer the puzzles and post the answers. Please respect these existing posters as it's their money they're using to buy mags & give us answers. If you're interested in posting a particular magazine then either post in that mags thread or if you can't find the actual thread then post in Compers Chat Corner Board to ask about it & another comper will help point you in the right direction.

At the end of the day, no comper 'owns the right' to post a particular comp but please take a moment, have a look around & ask in Compers Chat Corner Board, if necessary, to ask if there's a regular poster. Let's keep this a friendly place to play, avoid dupes & misunderstandings
