CGT on USD assets

I think I know the answer to this but have not been able to find confirmation on the HMRC website - which is not to say clarification is not there.
From RSUs in my US quoted employer I have capital gains across 10 tranches adding up to over GBB 50k.If i choose GPB, the Fidelity website shows my capital gain in sterling for each tranche
However I assume for HMRC I will need to take the rate of exchange at acquisition and the rate of of exchange on disposal as being my capital gain,by tranche.
Is my understanding correct,or can I take the USD gain and use the ROE at date of sale ?
Thanks in advance

https://www.gov.uk/hmrc-internal-manuals/capital-gains-manual/cg78310For example, if US shares are bought for US dollars in a bargain at arm’s length for full consideration
- the acquisition cost of the shares is the sterling equivalent of the dollars given at the exchange rate in force at the date of acquisition of the shares;
- the consideration for disposal of the dollars is the sterling value of the shares received in exchange.0 -
Thank you for the link and clarification/confirmation0
