Some uuPhilosophy Shear Splendour Conditioner 1L - can't remember whether I posted that I had finished this, WNBA, the shampoo was nice but this wasn't moisturising enough and it sort of lathered.Liz Earle IBST 200ml - I decanted this into a spray bottle and it lasts forever that way, I don't really see any major benefit from using it and WNBA, I do however have a mini bottle, another 200ml bottle in the normal packaging and a 200ml spray bottle.Beautannia Bloomsbury Body Lotio 100ml - WNBA, very, very strongly scented which I don't mind but it overpowers perfume, also these little bottles are to hard to get body lotion out of. Two more of these in the stash.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

JaneandBeth said:I rarely wear make-up, I use soap, not expensive creams and lotions, and use a really cheap shampoo, followed by a good quality conditioner. My skin has not dropped off, dried up or disintegrated and my hair has hardly any grey, despite beng in my 60s. I have saved thousands of pounds over the years and not missed the gunk that people plaster on their faces at all. I am really p'd off by all the adverts for supposedly essential luxury, worldwide products on TV that can't even get more than about 30 people to say that their products are any good. Everyone should look at the number of people surveyed and the number who agreed, which has to be shown on the advert to back up their claims - when L'Oreal etc can only say that 75% of about 50 women agree with their claims, it means they are trying to convince the country to buy something that only 36 people agree with. Would I buy something on the strength of 36 people's opinion? No way. Or do they think that more extensive survey results would drop their figures even more?
One thing we've found on this thread over the years is that using nice products that make us feel pampered is a great form of self-care - and so is excellent for mental health and wellbeing. It's the reason why we've chosen to focus on encouraging people to use their nice products (which is some cases are mainly bought for the members posting here as gifts) rather than "saving them for best" - see "Pink Rose Candle Philosophy" in post one.
(By the way your hair having hardly any grey is as a result of your genetic make-up rather than being related to anything you have done, or any products that you have, or haven't used.)🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

2 UU's up for me to declare today - woo!
A sachet of "Dr Organic" handcream - it was nice, smelled of honey and felt good to use but wasn't anything that spectacular. As Google tells me it is £6.99 a tube to purchase I'd say that I WNB - there is equally as good out there for less money.
S&G Scrub of Your Life - scraped the last bit out of the tube this morning and it's gone. I have another in the stash - it's a product I buy but I wouldn't justify paying out for it (scrubby gloves and a bit of shower gel work equally as well if not better) but will happily use it in the future if gifted it again.
Another 2 IN's from yesterday - 2 boxes of hair dye (on a 2 for £9 offer)
Other than that all splutterers are still spluttering. Intending to head to Tesco this lunchtime for the moisturiser to replace my Clinique so there may be another IN to declare later.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

UU update
Lush not sleepy shower bomb. WNB
The shower bombs were a gift and I would maybe buy the sleepy version but the not sleepy version didn't do much for me. I like that they double as a body wash and I can get two uses out of them.7 -

I agree Eau de Rhubarb does sound nice.I have donated another 12 nail polishes to charity. They are all good brands and nearly full, they are either colours I don't like (I've got rid of several nudes that are just not the right nudes for me) or ones I have so many others that are similar. I didn't offer them to DD this time as she has tons and hardly any chance to wear them.I would love to have just a couple of signature colours, maybe a coral for toes in summer and a deep claret in winter, for fingers a pinky nude like Nails inc Uptown and a taupe colour like Liz Earle Ebb Tide and then the deep claret for winter.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

It’s my birthday and I am so lucky. Have received a Hawaiian Tropic kit containing two body sprays and a really cool luggage tag, a Ted Baker body spray, 3 x Natural European handcreams, a L’Occitane set of mini cherry blossom shower gel and body lotion, Lacura face scrub and handcream. Also got some wine and chocolates, Veg by Jamie Oliver and a new pair of straighteners from MRM. Feeling blessed x
2 UUS today Too -
Bath and Body Works Stress Relief handcream. Did not like this at all. Smelt of shaving cream. Will open one of my new ones next.
Lacura Moisture Boost. WNBA. Found the texture too runny. Will shop my stash later for a new night cream.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge.
