    I think step 1 is to ensure you can meet all your regular expenditure or the debt will return.

    Be sure things long term are manageable without increasing your debt.

    Given that your petrol costs are quite low, are you truly getting benefit from the car. You might be better taking the mobility benefit in cash and using a local taxi service.
