    I think step 1 is to ensure you can meet all your regular expenditure or the debt will return.

    Be sure things long term are manageable without increasing your debt.
    Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.
  • Given that your petrol costs are quite low, are you truly getting benefit from the car. You might be better taking the mobility benefit in cash and using a local taxi service.
