TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “Share, Rattle or Roll” (“Win every day on the Magic Breakfast Show with Ronan and Harriet, thanks to Sky Mobile” or “the Competition”). These terms should be read with our general competition terms at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html which also apply to this Competition.

    1. ENTRY ROUTES AND COSTS

Entries are restricted to one entry per person, per day.
The only way to be in the draw to play the on-air game is by pre-registering online at:

    (A) Online at https://planetradio.co.uk/magic/competitions/

Online entry is free of charge.

    2. COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN

    ONLINE ENTRY & ELIGIBILITY

    • Pre-Register Online (see ‘1. Entry Routes and Costs’). Entrants should complete the online form with their contact details, the contact details of whoever will be playing the on-air game with them if they progress to Round 2 of the competition, and a little bit about why they would like to share the cash jackpot prize with that person. The main entrant must have the permission of their teammate to supply their contact details.

    • We’ll select a shortlist of contestants by random electronic draw each day for the following day’s on-air competition. We’ll create that shortlist from all entrants up to and including that point in time.

    • The Magic Radio production team will assess whether a short-listed entrant is eligible to play the on-air game based on suitability of entry, availability of both team members and whether both team members meet the competition terms and conditions.

    • The Magic Radio production team reserve the right to bring a competition entrant and their teammate to air on a different day if the entrant is unable to appear on the next scheduled show.

    • Both the main entrant and their teammate will need to be on the phone during the show ready to play the on-air game.

    HOW TO WIN

    • Round 1 – the presenter will ask the main entrant a single question which they must answer in the time limit given.

If the main entrant answers the question correctly, they will win £500 and progress to Round 2.
If the main entrant does not answer the question correctly, the presenter will move onto the next shortlisted entrant caller.

    • Round 2 – the Magic Radio production team will bring the main entrant’s teammate to air to play.

The cash jackpot amount will be stated on-air by the presenter before Round 2 begins.
The presenter will ask the competing pair (the main entrant and their teammate) a set of questions.
To win the cash jackpot, the competing pair must answer 5 questions correctly in the time limit given.
If they don’t know the answer to a question, they can ‘pass’ and the presenter will ask the next question.
If either of the competing pair say the correct answer, the presenter will move onto the next question and award them the point.
The game is over when either a) they answer 5 questions correctly or b) the timer ends.
If the competing pair win, they will share the cash jackpot evenly. For the main entrant, this amount will be added to their round 1 cash prize.
If the competing pair lose, the main entrant will win the Round 1 prize only and the Round 2 cash jackpot amount will roll over to the next day.

    • Any final decisions rest with the presenters and/or the Magic Radio production team.

    THE CASH JACKPOT
Round 2 of the on-air game includes a cash jackpot that, if won, will be shared evenly between the competing pair.
The cash jackpot will always be a minimum of £1,000 plus the value of the previous day’s jackpot, if it has rolled over.

    EXAMPLE
Day 1 – The Round 2 cash jackpot is worth £3,000 and isn’t won during the on-air game.
    Day 2 – The Round 2 cash jackpot is worth £4,000 i.e. the previous day’s £3,000 + an additional £1,000.

    EXAMPLE 2
Day 2 – The cash jackpot is worth £4,000 (see previous example) and is won by the competing pair. They share the prize, winning £2,000 each. The main entrant also wins the £500 from Round 1.
Day 3 – The cash jackpot is reset, with a starting value of £1,000.

THE CASH JACKPOT ON THE LAST DAY OF THE COMPETITION (14 FEBRUARY 2020)
On the last day of the competition (14 February 2020), if the cash jackpot isn’t won by the on-air contestants in Round 2, any remaining value in the cash jackpot will be shared evenly between every person who has played the on-air game, whether they have won a cash prize or not. If there is no cash jackpot remaining at the end of the competition, this feature of the competition will not come into play.

    EXAMPLE 1
DAY 14 (final day of the competition) – The Round 2 cash jackpot is worth £5,000. The Round 2 competing pair do not win the round. Therefore, the £5,000 jackpot will be shared evenly between a minimum of 20 people (minimum of 2 people per day for 10 days) who have played the on-air game. Each of those individuals would be awarded a cash prize of £250 on top of any cash prize they have already won. The cash jackpot may not be £5,000 – this is just an example.

    EXAMPLE 2
DAY 14 (final day of the competition) – The Round 2 cash jackpot is worth £1,000. The Round 2 competing pair do not win the round. Therefore, the £1,000 jackpot will be shared evenly between a minimum of 20 people (minimum of 2 people per day for 10 days) who have played the on-air game. Each of those individuals would be awarded a cash prize of £50 on top of any cash prize they have already won. The cash jackpot may not be £1,000 – this is just an example.

    3. ENTRY PERIOD

    ONLINE REGISTRATION
Open from Wednesday 29 January 2020 at 00:01 until Wednesday 12 February at 09:00am.

Entries received before the Start Time or after the End Time will be invalid.

    ON-AIR GAME
The on-air game will be played every day during the Magic Breakfast Show from 06:00am – 10:00am for 2 weeks from Monday 3 February 2020 until Friday 14 February 2020 (Monday to Friday only).

The shortlisted entrants will be given an indication of what time they will be brought to air to play. This may change on the morning of competition play and Magic Radio reserves the right to select another player should one or both entrants be unavailable as a result.

The name and the hometown of any winner/s may be announced during the Breakfast show.

    4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS

Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter.

Round 1 – £500 cash prize awarded to the main entrant.
Round 2 – a minimum of £1,000 and a maximum of £10,000 cash prize to be shared evenly between the main entrant and their teammate. Refer to ‘2. COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN’ for more information about how the cash jackpot roll-over mechanism works.

The value of the cash jackpot will be displayed on the competition page on the Magic Radio website. It will be updated every day after the competition round has been played on-air.

The prize money will be sent to the winner/s by bank transfer or in the form of a cheque to their home address.
