Well got the dreaded call from the mortgage broker today, we have been declined based on that we don’t meet their criteria... although, not sure how we got the DIP in the first place if that’s the case.Broker is appealing it and it has been sent to a senior underwriter. Although, I am not holding my breath!
Hope you have better news!0 -
The DIP is based on your credit check and the information entered by the broker.
Where did the case fall down on criteria? You may find the broker owes you some money (if there was a non refundable application fee) if it was something they did/should have known about.
We had a case declined this time last year because I missed something (in fairness my granddad had just passed away) but it was 100% my fault not the customers. I called her up to explain the application had been declined it was my fault, I had found a Plan B and refunded her the admin fee already.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. They didn't seem to mention, just kept saying 'it shouldn't have been declined'
I have added my own post if you wouldn't mind giving it a quick read when you get chance?
I would really appreciate any help or advice.
Everyone has an off day - week in my case!0
