If I am in middle of doing a possible CETV transfer and have asked for the funds to go to royal London pension scheme , why would a company called brew dolphin be involved ?

Given they use the phrase we have grown to become one of the UK’s leading wealth managers is this is a good thing?0

I didn't realise they are involved in defined benefit transfers although they might 'help' the IFAs to manage the transferred funds since they got a page for financial advisers?0

yes i meant brewin dolphin
I am just unsure why they should be involved at all ? If the funds go into the royal london portfolio ? I can understand paying royal london annual fee and possibly an IFA , but there shouldnt be a 3rd party taking a cut also ?0 -

You're going to have to tell us.
Royal London's main pension product does allow you to invest via a Discretionary Fund Manager so that is one possibility.
Have you looked in the adviser's suitability report? Or asked the adviser?0 -
Where £1million+ is concerned there is plenty to go round and plenty who want a share of the pie0

this is my concern, people trying to take a cut who should never be involved ?0 -
We can't possible know any more about why they are involved than you. What did you sign up to? It seems strange that you could have appointed a Wealth Manager whose name you appear not to know.......check your documentation again. You used an IFA for the transfer advice. Did you appoint them for portfolio advice too? Do they subcontract that?0

You have asked for the funds to go to Royal London? are you sure about that because Royal London dont offer a direct to customer service?? or has adviser recommended RL and you have read what you have signed up for.
It is very Likely the have recommended a DFM and that is Brewin Dolphin. The fact that you use the word Brew Dolphin leads me to believe you are either having a joke or really dont ready anything you are given. Perhaps more time reading the actual advice and less on forums would suit you better.0
