I tried not to buy anymore coats but failed

Yet again for another year I've bought another 2 coats this winter when I don't really need them. I love them! but.....I have so many. I tried I really did!

I've read on this forum that some people just have 2 or 3 coats I don't know how you do it. The problem I have when it comes to wearing a coat I have too much choice and then it bothers me that I have not worn some as much as I would like but now that's it no more or at the very least one in and one out!!!

In fact its made me more aware of a lot of other stuff I have too many of, I have 15 perfumes and lots of creams, face washes etc my plan is to use one till finished then the next and have a serious sort out and thin a lot of things out, so I have a lot less and less is better as less choice and means I'm wearing and using more of what I do have. That's my new years resolution sorted!!

Is anyone else having a buy less, have less year?

I've just joined the decluttering thread over here and am also part of the "No buying more toiletries" one too - it all helps for inspiration to help ensure that more leaves the house than makes its way in!

    Oh dear.
If we're counting, I'll throw my 5 sheepskin coats plus an inside-out sheepskin coat into the ring. :)
All vintage and bought from charity shops.
The latest - bought less than a month ago - was £10.00 and in pristine condition.

I have countless outer coats and added to the collection by another 3 over this month. The cupboard is packed with them, but I log them all, and wear them all, and often.
