Credit Report Update

Options
Does anyone know how long it takes for banks to update credit information?

Having paid my credit card off in full 23/11, I’m quite surprised to see it still outstanding on my credit report, which also says ‘last updated 8/12”

Thank you to anyone who knows about these things.

It depends on when they update it in their reporting cycle in conjunction to when your credit report updates. I noticed that I get my update 2.5 months after I close a card and figured it was to do with that.
£5000 left to pay on credit cards, down from 40k!!

    Thank you jbkmum.

I’ll just keep an eye on it then. 2 months plus seems a long time for a credit report to be out of date.
  • Which credit report website are you using, I have this with cleascore - i contacted support and they pulled through a new file and it was gone!

You could try see if its on another version of your report without contacting the bank - free reports creditkarma, money saving expert credit club, clearscore, totally money, halifax credit checker and money super market credit report. All free.

Thanks RecentPost, I’ll have a look.

I’ve only looked at Experian via the MSE credit club.

theres 3 main ones i think, experian, and the name eludes me of the others, transunion i think is one,

but each branded place, even MSE credit club, only look at one of the three, so you need to find out which others use the other two and use them to get a full picture.

Yes that's right, Equifax is the other, other alternatives can be used to access the reports from each of them

ClearScore (Equifax) still shows it as outstanding too. Last updated 16/12.

    Barclaycard are obviously just slow.
