Autofill Stopped Working?

I have noticed autofill in my Chrome browser has stopped working and it seems it's because I have Roboform installed and Chrome have suddenly decided you can only use one form filler. Is this correct? Has anyone else had the problem? I got this info from Roboform support.

I always used Roboform for passwords but autofill for form filling and have had a frustrating day getting to this point. I don't comp often but this is a major inconvenience and if anyone has a solution or work round I'd be grateful if you would share.

OOh, my autofill on Chrome remembers password too, so I only use that. I'd hate it to suddenly decide not to be so obliging!

I use both Chrome Autofill and Roboform, and just noticed. It makes entering some forms much slower.

I am annoyed too - I like to be able to use both Roboform and Autofil! I have had a look through the Roboform settings but cannot see any solution. I hope some computer-savvy person on here can suss out a solution!

  • You too, BlueBella? I don't think Roboform support were that thrilled about it but I couldn't find a way to raise the issue with Chrome/Google. Too big to care about end users it seems.

Please let me know if you find a solution anywhere.

Just spotted this on Robo site.

The decision to replace the built-in browser password manager with RoboForm was made following the careful consideration of both end user and reviewer feedback. Such a setting modification is standard among modern password managers and is enabled by major browsers. In addition to browser password managers being less secure than RoboForm, receiving autosave password prompts from both the browser and RoboForm proved to be an added inconvenience. With that being said, while we cannot provide an ETA, we are still investigating the feasibility of simultaneously offering both options.

It gives the option to submit a ticket.
  • I noticed my autofill was not working with chrome and I had roboform installed. I went into chrome settings and had to re-enable autofill in chrome.
  • Thanks Boom Boom. Would you be able to share how you did that? It would be great to have both working again.

Thanks Boom Boom but I can only use either and not both together?

  • Me too BlueBella. When you go to Settings and Autofill it says Roboform is controlling that setting. The only way is to disable Roboform completely. Same for you?
