Assuming I am reading this correctly, what has been negotiated is working from home for initially 3 days out of five, gradually reducing so that within three months you will be back in the office full time? Or am I reading it wrong?

As I said back on 28th January, I think it would have been very easy for an employer to have declined your WFH / flexible working request on business reasons that would have been hard to challenge. In fact, what it seems they have offered you is actually more like a "phased return" following serious illness rather than long term flexible working.

As others have said, I would gratefully accept their offer and not risk souring the working relationship by challenging it further.

I would expect the employer to keep a very close eye on the productivity of anybody who has been given the opportunity to work from home.  It's far easier to have a more relaxed attitude to work when nobody is watching, and the added distraction of a young child won't make working from home any easier.
In this instance I suspect that the employer will be back to the employee within a comparatively short time saying that the arrangement isn't working and they need to be office based full time.

Unless I (and others) are completely misreading this, all that has been offered is a transition back to office based full time over a period of three months?

To Update; Sent in the appeal app and had a meeting two weeks ago.

I asked for 5 days WFH for a month then after each month introduce a day at work. so in 5 months should be at work 5 days full time.
Received appeal outcome letter: Work have agreed to WFH for 3 days and in office for 2 days for a month then every 2 weeks extra office day
I understand from forum responses, legally employer didnt need to offer this but argued my value.
Probably should be happy with this proposal. But i'm going to see if I can get a WFH for longer.
I don't think there's any 'probably' about it.

If you're not careful, you might find that you are not as 'valued' as you seem to think you are.
