Chinese teas

Hi, I'm having abit store cupboard clear out and amongst other things, I have quite a collection of Chinese teas our young guests have brought over the last couple of years. I m sure they are fine, they are still sealed.
Can you think of any ways to use it that are not the conventional cup of tea? I'm not keen on that at all. The only tea I drink is red bush or camomile.
Thanks!

If there's no way its going to be consumed by giving it away to friends or family, its probably best wrapped, ribboned and donated to a charity raffle. Someone will enjoy it!

Food bank? I normally donate the cheapest 'value' brand stuff (all stuff I eat myself, nothing nasty!) but I imagine it must be nice to get something nice or fancy now and then.0

You are probably right. I was thinking along the lines of tea bread or boiling my rice in it? Some of it is those lovely little jasmine flower buds which open up in boiling water and smell wonderful, it's the taste that's not for me!Norn Iron Club member 4730

Indeed! But I did find a lot of dried fruit, still in date from when I made my daughters wedding cake.
But I still think it would take a lot of tea bread to use it up!
Still, there are worse problems to have.Norn Iron Club member 4730 -

How about making lots - eating some - then gifting tea bread with an accompanying packet of complementary tea to friends/neighbours until the stock is a little more manageable?
We're heading into spring and light floral teas are seasonally appropriateThat sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

Would Chinese tea really be good in tea bread?0

We will find out tomorrow what it's like! I'm steeping the fruit for two loaves overnight and will bake in the morning.Norn Iron Club member 4730

I would ask friends and relatives and find someone who would enjoy the tea. It sounds really nice to me.Decluttering, 20 mins / day Jan 2024 2/20

In my 1988 edition of 'The Dairy Book of British Food' (ISBN 0 85223 735 9) there is a recipe for Tea Cream, which is basically a cross between mouse and milk jelly flavoured with tea. The recipe suggests Earl Grey, jasmine or lapsang souchong. So would something like that work for you? Or maybe a another milk based dessert eg panna cotta or crème caramel (possibly without the sauce)?0
