Bank statements with mortgage

Hello i am a first time buyer with my girlfriend. We received a mortgage in principle with nationwide. My question is. That no where on the mortgage in principle does ask for a bank statement, only proof of address and name and payslips for the last 3 months. Does this mean I do not need to provide bank statements? Thanks luke

I would get them just to air on the side of caution.0

I would get them ready regardless. If your mortgage provider doesnt request them, then your solicitor possibly will.
I am not a first time buyer (2nd time) but I am currently going through the same process!0 -
Bank statements often aren't needed for a decision in principle. For a full mortgage application it is much more likely that a lender will ask to see bank statements as they will want to know what financial commitments you have and how you manage your finances.

The documents mentioned on a nationwide AIP are usually the only ones requested. Its fairly normal for a lender not to ask for bank statements.
Sometimes the lender doesnt even want payslips!
They have access to a lot of background info designed to make this as easy a process as possible0 -
I mean this is after I have received my mortgage in principal. On the mortgage in principle agreed paperwork it does not ask for bank statements only payslips and Proof of address,0

Thank you for the information0

so that means they dont want bank statements on submission of full application. They may come back and ask for them later but generally they wont0
