Best card reader to take payments (iZettle? Square? SumUp?)

Looking to get rid of my outdated (and expensive!) chip & pin machine which charges me a monthly rental fee plus a percentage per transaction! I’m hoping to swap to the best available card reader that you’ve all no doubt seen in coffee shops, small outlets etc.
HOWEVER - all the ones I’ve researched need the card to be physically present to take payment. I run a small family Guest House and would need to enter card details manually for deposits on future bookings, usually given over the phone, sometimes months in advance. Does anybody know of a company/card reader that supports CNPs?
Thanks for any help.

I was with World pay Zinc and they had the facility to do CNP. You logged onto your account on their website and put the details in manually. This used to be a free service (ie you didn't pay any more than your merchant handling fee to use this service). But they have changed this now and charge a fixed monthly fee to allow you to do this (£9.99/month I think). So I kicked them into touch.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

So who did you switch to?? I’d be very interested. I’m with First Data and they charge £20 per month for terminal hire and quite chunky on transaction fees. Cost me 2k for the year. I’m hoping I can find someone cheaper!0

This question is asked (and answered) at regular intervals on the Small Biz board. Executive Summary: there is no one 'best buy', it depends on how much you use it, and in what circumstances. Do your research and READ THE CONTRACT because as a B2B contract there is no cooling off period.Signature removed for peace of mind0
