Analysis of court cases

Options
I remember seeing a while back some website or other that provided a breakdown of the percentage of unpaid invoices that the scammers take to the county court (not the percentage of cases they win). I don't think it was Parking Prankster. Anyone know the website, or where else I can find the info? I think Capita came out on top.

There used to be one but sadly it exists no more - a very time-consuming job that became too onerous. Nothing has replaced it.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

ParkingMad has an 2019 document she created. I'll ask her to post it.

I think it was called the British Motorists Protection Association but the website has now gone.
  • Here is a list comparing the number of KADOE (Keeper at Date of Event) requests by each PPC with the number of county court hearings for the last 12 months;

If every PCN went to a court hearing, the legal system would collapse!

    Brilliant! Thank you.

Out of interest, I notice APCOA is missing from the list, unless they're known under some other name. I recall that they "don't do court". Maybe that's why they're not on the list?

You're right, the list only includes PPCs who had court hearings in 2019.

DVLA publish all KADOE data on their website:
    https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/who-dvla-shares-data-with
    Click on "KADOE Volumes".

The "This is Not a Parking Charge" yellow notice does lead motorists to give their details and avoids the PPC from having to obtain details of the keeper from the DVLA. Still looks to be a money spinner for the DVLA though.

DVLA have banned 'soft ticketing' with fake 'fishing for data' cards on windscreens now.

VCS were told in 2019 and the BPA have banned it in their CoP as they had no choice due the DVLA's view. About time too.

The BMPA still exists as an active and useful group to share information. Myself and ParkingMad are in it, but its discussions are conducted off forum and the good guys still remain in the group and the bad apples have been removed.

At the moment there is no website because Iamemanresu stepped away from the forums and keeping such data, only because he was too busy in real life.

That's good news that Excel and VCS can no longer soft ticket.
