Customs Tax when buying from EU post 31st January

Hope this is the right place for this...

At the moment if buying/importing things from the EU over the internet (that is what is relevant to me) you don't pay customs tax and/or import duties as far as I can tell.

Does anyone know whether this will change on the 31st of January or will it be much later, say after the transition period?

Items that I'm not desperate for, but I'm not sure whether to wait for the pound to get stronger against the euro or just bite the bullet and order them now in case taxes get slapped on later.

During the transition period, until December 31st 2020, nothing will change.

After that date, your crystal ball is probably as good as mine
