Online Tax Return Not Recognising Payments on Account

I've just completed my online tax return, and been hit by a tax calculation figure that doesn't seem right.

After some investigation, I have discovered that this inflated tax calculation, is most likely due to my payments on account that I made throughout 2019, have not been recognised by the online tax return system.

My question is, how do I tailor my tax return to recognise my payments on account (advance payments,) over the past year?

Thanks.

    You don't.

Your payments on account will be reflected in your statement of account.

Payments on account are never reported. This remains one of the failings with using HMRCs free software. Commercial software would give you the option to include these.

They appear where they should appear - on the SA300.
