I want to buy a Sat Nav System with GPS

Hubby would like a Sat Nav system for Xmas but one that would take Ordinance Survey references. He works in the North East of Scotland and some sites he visits are not on streets with postcodes but in the middle of fields. One that could go in the car for driving and hand-held for walking across fields would be just great. Just wonder if anyone has seen any. Many thanks.

Memory Map 'Road Angel' is quite expensive at £280, but does offer navigation and OS maps on one unit.

I use the Memory Map software on a Windows Mobile PDA with GPS for the Ordnance Survey Maps, and also have TomTom Navigator software loaded on the PDA for navigation. This does work, but can be a little awkward to set up and maintain.

  • Many thanks cc25, will check it out.
