Thanks for asking this question and for the answers so far, I have been wondering the same myself. No one yet has mentioned the Nest pension - is it a good idea to join this as a self-employed person? Do anyone have an opinion?0

So now Vanguard is officially available - is anyone here already on it? Thoughts?0

Some are. If you want a low fee pension that can only be invested in Vanguard products, it would seem to do the job. More traditional pension providers have a range including a variety of third party funds. Vanguard do not offer funds for every type of strategy and won't offer the best fund in every area they do offer. But if you have simple needs it looks like it will do what it says on the tin, without high charges. The question is whether you want what is on the tin, as other provider offer different tins and contents.redefinr said:So now Vanguard is officially available - is anyone here already on it? Those that pray at the church of Vanguard will promote it. That with less bias will say it is a viable option but you need to be aware of the limitations (such as being single tied to one fund house when alternative whole of market options may be better).redefinr said:So now Vanguard is officially available - is anyone here already on it? It all depends on whether you feel Vanguard investments are going to be the best in every area? (they are not). However, they may be best in the areas you are looking at but you need to decide that.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
