Virtual assistant jobs

Does anyone have any experience in Virtual assistant jobs?
I’m looking for some extra income, and crucially, the ability to work evenings and weekends (preferably from home), and a virtual assistant sounds like it could be promising.
I’ve seen sites such as www.peopleperhour.com, but after a quick browse the listings, I get this impression this could provide the odd hour here and there, but not 9-15hrs a week I’m looking for. I’ve got plenty of admin experience so would be comfortable with any of the following sorts of virtual assistant jobs:
Any thoughts on this sort of job, or any particular websites to look for/avoid?

There are a lot of Facebook groups that offer advice on this. VA help desk and VA handbookers are ones I see recommended on other Facebook groups. Also a website howtobeava.co.uk I see recommended.
I have no connection with these and haven’t looked at them, but see them mentioned often.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards.
