Council Tax Registration

I bought a new build in November, completed 29th.
I filled out my council tax registration online with my council first week of December. I put down that I'd be moving in 15th January as it was unoccupied until I could furnish it, which it now is.
I haven't received a bill yet. Could I potentially get a bill in February and it be back dated for January and December too, meaning a payment of three months worth? If so then I need to plan for it. Just wondering how it's done as I've not done this before.

My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0

My local council doesn't offer any Unfurnished or Unnoccupied dicsounts. It's full rate from day one. I did request the Single Occupany Discount though.
So basically they will backdate the council tax owed until I get a bill through my letterbox. So if they don't officiate the registration until March I could effectively get a £440 pound bill to pay, 4 months worth.
I did do their online registration 7 weeks ago.0 -

Whenever the bill is issued you will get a minimum of 1 instalment, the statutory minimum, and possibly more if the council allow.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. I emailed them and they said they just don't offer it at all with regard to Unfurnished/Unoccupied.
Ah okay. Yeah because to be hit with a backdated bill for 3/4 months obviously is a lot to find for one payment, especially if I'm only given a week or so to pay it.
I had to chase last week for bins to be delivered as they hadn't yet.0 -
So I've been registered now, but they've registered me for 7 days before I completed and got my keys. I checked a neighbour who completed the same day as me (terrace of 4, I'm one end and they are the other), and they've been registered for the day of completion? Can I claim for what they've charged for those 7 days?0
