Accord mortgages aip?

I have previously been declined a mortgage through nationwide, that was last Feb. We have just had an agreement in principle through our broker with accord. The state agents are wanting fees for searches etc to be sorted but I don't want to pay all f that now incase the mortgage is declined at full application.
What is the likeliness of this happening? Has it happened to anyone through accord?

Tell the estate agents to pay the fees if they are that concerned. Waiting a week until your offer is agreed will make no difference.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. True. I'm curious to know whether anyone has been declined after aip too0

From your wording I assume you are using the estate agents solicitors as they are trying to push you to pay fees?
Move to another firm, pay their searches and ask them to not order the searches until you have a mortgage offer in place0 -
That's right yes1

Anyone any experience?0

I have never had an accord application fail personally. Although I only use them maybe 5-10 times a year0
