Exactly the opposite, it's pretty obvious it's a joint venture, marriage usually is. The fact she has been paying half up until now is a definitive action that shows the agreement in practice so it would be easy to convince the judge.

I agree with boo_star on this - if I had taken out a loan when I got married to fund the wedding, there would have been no realistic expectation that my wife could have contributed half as I earned 10 times what she did. Courts aren't necessarily going to rule on what's fair.0 -

I would agree if she hadn't made any payments, however the fact she has been making regular payments of half the monthly loan repayment strongly indicates that an agreement was in place. You would have little trouble in convincing a judge that an agreement verbal or otherwise was in place.0
