Starting in Madrid, they'll explore this remote and dramatic region by car, staying in two historic hotels en route. They will spend three nights at the Parador de Plasencia, a restored 15th-century convent in the walled city of Plasencia. Then, for four nights, they’ll be at the Parador de Caceres, a Renaissance palace with colonnades and vaulted ceilings. Extraordinary landscapes and monuments await, including the dazzling Roman remains at Merida, and Trujillo, peppered with conquistador palaces.
