Mortgage Exit Admin Fee

Dear all
Hope you can help, as Martin has already but need to know what my next steps are.
I copied Martin's letter on Mortgage Exit Admin Fee which I sent to my last mortgage company and received a letter from them saying the 'fee Applicable is £165.00', the fee charged was £450, so total refund of £285 which sounds great but... shouldn't I be getting back 'all' of the £450 fee charged?
It does say at the bottom of the letter 'should you remain dissatisfied with the outcome of my investigations, you may ask for a further review of your complaint to be undertaken'. Does that mean, if I say no! Then I get back the £450 or there abouts instead of £285?
Any guidance from anyone would be greatly appreciated and I'm so happy to find this site! I wish I had time to do every money saving tip!

No. What made you think that?shouldn't I be getting back 'all' of the £450 fee charged?

No. It means you then wait 3-6 months whilst they look into further only to agree that the figure offered at the start was correct.Any guidance from anyone would be greatly appreciated
The FSA ruled that it is the difference between the last contract/offer letter you received and what you paid that should be refunded. This is confirmed in Martins article that you should have read. That is what you have been offered and that is what you should accept.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
