Options
I am changing to a different GP surgery, i know that medical records are transferred but can the new GP also see my prescription history? like all the times i requested any medication and picked it up at the pharmacy, is this something i have to request to be done? thanks.

Everything is transferred. Paper and electronic records. But it can take an age so if wanting something on prescription before the transfer is done you'll have to go in and explain what and why you want it.

If your current doctor is online for things like repeat prescriptions, it may be worth printing out what is on there before you lose access. That way if you can show the new doctor it may speed things up a little.
