mortgage and income protection

when i remortaged with abroker they sold me a mortgage and income policy
witch itold them i didnt want this was aswell as a normal policy witch you take out with your mortgage,the policy witch i did not want happens to be one of the brokers own policys ,so they sold me two when one would have done and sneaked it in,can iclaim it back:mad:

    probably not unless it is duplicate cover.

    Assuming you mean the permanent health insurance (PHI)when you say income protection, then this cover is greater than Accident, sickness and unemployment cover (ASU). Often best advice is to do the ASU and the PHI but with the PHI having a deferment period of 12 months as the ASU covers that point.

    So, if that is the case with yours, then the cover recommended was correct and you have no grounds for complaint.

    If the plans are both ASUs then you notify both insurance companies you have dual cover and they will agree which one will refund the premiums.
