Searching I Won! I Won! I Won! shows several Waitrose wins and I'd guess that some of them were for this comp:

I won in 2018. I too had been entering each week for ages! When I emailed to thank them, the lady said that they "receive many thousands of entries each week". When you hear that, it feels like a miracle to win. But as any comper knows, someone's got to win it, and next week may just be your week (that's what I keep telling myself when I enter comp after comp and don't win anything for ages....)0 -
I always put the number and the word eg 2. Sweets. Is that correct or should I just put the word?0

I won this a few years ago. I was also told that many thousands enter each week0 -
aitchykate - I always put the number followed by the answer, as that is how it's listed in their multiple choice. I don't know if it matters really, but I always follow the way the options are shown in each competition.0

I always put just the answer. I won a couple of years ago. I think as long as it's clear which answer you've chosen it doesn't matter about the format.0

At the time of posting this, 675 people have thanked the post. I would imagine most of those 675 entered.
If that's a usual number and I think it is. If every one of those wins before you, it will be some years before it's your turn.
FWIW I've been doing it since it started and never won.63 mortgage payments to go.
Zero wins 2016 😥0
