want to switch to sky but virgin want to 30days

I am thinking of switching over to sky in our new home but didnt reliase that virgin want 30days not to leave them and wont disconnected my phone when we leave , they want us to move with them and that will renew contract for another 12months - we dont want that, what can we do ??

You can give thirty days notice (unless you are still within their minimum term), you do not have to move with them.Gone ... or have I?0

yes they want 30 days notice to terminate the contract , been with them for 2years but we moving saturday and wanted to disconnect phone linem, broadband etc immediately and switch over to sky but they say they cant do that they will still charge us for 30days and cant dissconnected phone line !!might just move with them then switch over next month0
