Need my gas boiler serviced.

Any recommendations on who is reliable\trustworthy to get out or even who to avoid?

You can get it done by Phoenix. They have a deal where you pay for 2 years in advance and get a reduced rate (about£50).

Hi Eclipser. Billy Johnston (07732 876630) is excellent but like all good ones is very busy. Worth giving him a call though, he's based in Orby.

Rang that number and left a message nearly 2 weeks ago and never got a call back.

Get it done by the manufacturer.perhaps? The Worcester-Bosch guy who did my warranty repair said off the record that a lot of Boiler Technicians don't do it properly. It's been great ever since and always lost pressure every year before that with various bits needing replacing each time. The specific thing he said wasn't done correctly was the pre-charging.It'll work for a while then lose pressure gradually.. I believe Phoenix just contract in Gas Safe Plumbers to do the work they aren't staff.

No, but I am NIHE and they service every year with whoever they contact with.
