in Cutting tax
Just filled out my first self assessment due to needing to do high income child benefit payment but the calculator is saying i need to pay a 5 figured amount of tax instead of a few hundred pounds. It looks as though its not counting any of the tax ive already paid through my salary. Can anyone help?

It sounds like you have (correctly) declared your employment income/salary.
Any reason why you haven't included the PAYE tax deducted?0 -
Might sound daft but where is that part0

On the paper return it's the very next box.
It's a learning curve, better to have noticed it now than sent it to HMRC like that!!0
