Bank transfer to HMRC.

Does a payment through bank transfer to hmrc show in your government gateway?
When I click 'view payments' it says no payments have been made during the last 60 days. It then however says debit card and bank transfers won't show.
So I'm confused at to how I know they have received my bank transfer for payments (voluntarily) of class 2 NIC?
Also my national insurance history is showing since I became self employed that my years are 'not full' whh I click this for each year it says your year is being checked to see if it counts towards pensions. I don't need to do anything. This goes back to my tax year 2016-2017. Is this unusual or the norm?
