Hi again,
I have just been offered a new job that I would like to accept, from NHS over to another NHS. Will this class as a new employment for mortgage purposes, as i would like to arrange a 'right to buy' mortgage in the not so distant future? I have 24years in with the NHS.
Thanks

No, I am employed by another government body and internal moves are irrelevant when applying for a mortgageMake £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023

NHS trusts are separate legal entities so this would be classed as a new employer. Will you have a probation period with the new NHS organisation?
24 years service in the NHS is good consistency but being in a probation period may be an issue for some lenders. Might not be so much of an issue if the application is in joint names and your partner isn't in a probation period. If applying alone you might just want to think about timing after any probation period has lapsed.
I know when I was speaking with a broker a few years ago this was something I was asked about. Things might of moved on since then.- Original mortgage end date: March 2041
