Moorcroft Debt Recovery. Help please

Hi all

I have a credit card with Nationwide with a remaining balance of £1100 (this is just one of my debts). I have recently been receiving phone calls (haven't answered) from Moorcroft Debt Recovery requesting to speak to me about this debt! I haven't received any letter correspondence from them as of yet. I was on a payment plan with Nationwide of £75 per month but have missed three payments.

I have emailed Moorcroft asking for some information as to why they are calling because I don't really want to ring them but have not received any replies.

I am looking for some information anyone may have about how to deal with this company or if i should call Nationwide to try and organize repayments with them or possibly it is too late?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Must add I am in Northern Ireland.

Thanks

I have three debts with Moorcroft and its fine. Block their number.

When did you email them? It can take a while for them to respond. Does Nationwide have the correct address for you?

I emailed Moorcroft via their website, told them how much I was going to pay and that was it. Haven't heard from them since.

  • Thanks for getting back to me! I emailed them last Monday and I have done it through their website today. Nationwide does have the correct address for me.

Have they took over debts of yours or how do you not pay them?

They don't email you back, they write to you in the post as a response. Took 2 to 3 weeks after my email to get a letter in the post.

They manage the debts for the creditors, I pay them £1 a month. Hoping to get to the point by the end of the year when I can settle some of the debts.

Moorcroft are collection agents for the major banks.
You can pay via their website very easily.
It’s not their debt so they have no remedy against you.
