Prize received different to advertised

Had a packet of dog food arrive today, but the original advent comp said that the prize would be a tube of dog treats. Another winner of the same comp has had the same problem. Is this normal if they don’t have the original prize in stock?

  • It usually states in the t's and c's that the prize may be an alternative to one advertised or something along those lines

As long as the prizes are about the same value and it's a "reasonable equivalent"
  • Thanks for the advice. Just had another email from the promoter saying that the wrong prize was sent out, hence the reason that I received a different prize
