How are people entering Twitter competitions?

I've been entering for a while, mainly just searching #win & #competition on Twitter to find ones to enter.
However, I'm seeing many of the comments from people worded almost identically .. something along the lines of "Awesome giveaway! Thank you for the super and very delicious chance to #WIN. Fingers tightly crossed."
Multiple people, all replying back with the same even on competitions that don't need a reply.
Why is this, are they using a bot to enter?

Some people think a comment helps (required or not) and just copying one that's already there is easy, could also be multiple entries manually, multiple entries by "Bot" or a combination of all 3.0

there are competition sites that act like a bot and you click a button to enter. The site does all the work like leave the comment, re tweet etcYou're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *0

When I see the words 'Awesome prize' or Awesome giveaway', I just have to cringe!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0

I think always leaving a comment even if it's just 'thank you' helps prevent a twitter ban.0

When it says retweet and answer, do you retweet with a comment or do you retweet then tweet a reply?GONE ENGLAND0

You retweet then do a reply.
Love twitter, most of my wins are from there.
