Where do I stand legally in removing plastic bottles & aluminium cans from bins in my work place. I’ll be taking them to the reverse recycling bank.

The amount of plastic milk bottles and paper/card that is sent to landfill at my office is terrible.
When you compare it to household waste it does feel like companies get away with a lot.As of 24/11/2020
